Discussion of the current project to clean and document the organ, chaired by OHTA Chairman John Maidment. 
The panel will include Robert Ampt (City Organist), Geoff Brew (Senior Project Manager), Kelvin Hastie (consultant), Peter Jewkes and Rodney Ford (Contractors).

          “Music She Wrote: organ compositions by women”.  The lecture will include rare performances of           works by Dulcie Holland, Jeanne Schaffer, Clara Schumann, Elfrida Andrée,
          Margaret Vardell Sandresky, Roberta Bitgood, Alex Shapiro, Marilyn Biery, Florence Price,
          Roberta Bitgood and Jeanne Demessieux

Panel Discussion 3:  Future directions for the pipe organ in Australia.
          Geoffrey Cox, Phillip Gearing and Godelieve Ghavalas, will be joined by Philip Swanton
          (Sydney Conservatorium of Music) will discuss the future of the organ in the context of students,
          teaching, organ recitals and networking in the organ community.

OHTA has been most fortunate to have an opportunity to hear the Grand Organ in the Concert Hall of Sydney Opera House, rarely heard in recitals open to the public. A huge effort has been made to secure the venue on our behalf and attendance at his late hour is encouraged.  The recital will conclude at 12.30 am.

KARRINYUP WURLITZER ORGAN
28th CONCERT SEASON

CHRIS McPHEE has an international reputation as a theatre organist. His talent on the theatre organ produces fun music which is appreciated across Australia. This year he will be joined by pianist Malcolm Ross to reproduce their popular Festival of Adelaide duets. Chris has recorded a number of CDs including one on the Karrinyup Wurlitzer Organ.
